Hall of Fame
Eligibility & Requirements
Nominees must be submitted to the Chair Person of the Hall of Fame Committee no later than the MARCH meeting of the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association.
Nominees must have a minimum of twenty (20) years of active service in a Carroll County Volunteer Fire Company.
Nominee must have been an outstanding performer in the Fire, EMS or Administrative service.
Nominee shall be submitted by the Volunteer Fire Company of which they are a member, the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association or a Past President of the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association. Nominees shall be submitted to the Chair Person of the Hall of Fame Committee by Regular Mail or electronically by the President or Chair Person of the Fire Company Service Award Committee.
Any Member of a Carroll County Volunteer Fire Company killed in the line of duty in Carroll County or as an employee in a Career Department in another jurisdiction will automatically be named to the Carroll County Hall of Fame. A member placed in the Hall of Fame in this manner would be an exception to the three (3) members limit each year.
Hall of Fame nominees will not be considered if the individual has been deceased more than five (5) years.
No more than three (3) members may be submitted by a Carroll County Volunteer Fire Company, Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association or Past President of the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association in any one year.
No more than three (3) members from the Carroll County Fire Companies, Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association or Past President of the Association may be named to the Hall of Fame each year.
The Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association shall pay all expenses related to the Awards, Certificates, Plaques, etc. incurred by the Hall of Fame Committee.
The Hall of Fame Plaque will be placed in a designated place as may be named by the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association.
The Hall of Fame Committee shall be responsible to have the Hall of Fame award winner or winners name placed on the Association’s Hall of Fame Plaque, and shall give the winner or winners a Certificate, and an individual Plaque. The Certificate and Plaque shall be given at the Annual Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Convention Banquet. If said winner or winners are not present at the Convention Banquet, the Certificate and Plaque shall be mailed or presented to them at a later date.
Photographs of the award winners shall be submitted to the local newspaper for publication.
The Carroll County Volunteer Fire Company or Past President of the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association submitting the applications must be in good standing with the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association.
Any citizen not affiliated with a Carroll County Volunteer Fire Company who has made a significant contribution to the fire services of Carroll County may be nominated for induction into the Hall of Fame. Only one citizen nominee can be inducted into the Hall of Fame in a year. A member placed in the Hall of Fame in this manner would be an exception to the three (3) members limit.
