From New Windsor Fire Department: After months of thorough planning and research, the New Windsor Fire Department is proud to announce that we have officially signed a contract with Seagrave Fire Apparatus, based in Clintonville, Wisconsin, for the construction of a new fire engine to replace our current Engine 101. The current Engine 101, originally built in 2006, has served our department and community with distinction for nearly two decades. Our department maintains a proud working relationship with Seagrave Fire Apparatus for over thirty years. The cost of the "new" Engine 101 is approximately $1.3 million. Remarkably, this project is being funded entirely through the department’s fundraising efforts, made possible by the generous support of our community. Key fundraising events such as the annual Fire Department Carnival and the Firemen's Money Bonanza, in partnership with the Harney Fire Department, have played a crucial role in making this investment possible. The New Windsor Fire Department extends its heartfelt gratitude to the New Windsor community for your unwavering support over the years. This new engine is not just a piece of equipment—it is a testament to what can be accomplished when a community stands behind its first responders. Content and Photo copyright New Windsor FD. |
